We collect only what is needed to reply to your requests and keep you informed — and we never sell it.

What we collect
When you send a ceremony request using the booking form: your name, phone number, the ceremony, preferred date and language, city, nakshatra or gothram if you choose to share it, and any details you write.
When you join WhatsApp updates: your first name, last name, WhatsApp number and the date you agreed to receive messages.
Visitor statistics: the pages viewed, the website that referred you, your device type (phone, tablet or computer) and an approximate city, region and country worked out by our hosting provider from your internet connection. We use a random identifier kept only in your browser tab. We do not use cookies for visitors, show advertising or track you across other websites. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, no statistics are recorded.
How we use it
Ceremony requests are used only to reply to you, plan the ceremony and keep notes for your family's future ceremonies. Your WhatsApp number is used only to send festival reminders, auspicious days and program announcements you asked for. Visitor statistics help us understand which pages are useful.
Who can see it
Only Gurukkal can see requests and the WhatsApp list, through a password-protected admin page. We never sell or rent your information. It is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare, in the United States. When you choose "Send via WhatsApp" or "Send via E-mail", your message is sent through those services under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
Ceremony requests are kept until you ask us to delete them or they are no longer needed. You stay on the WhatsApp list until you ask to stop. Visitor statistics contain no names or phone numbers.
Your choices
To stop WhatsApp updates, reply "STOP" to any message or tell Gurukkal. To see, correct or delete anything we hold about you, call, WhatsApp or e-mail Gurukkal using the details below, and it will be done promptly.
Children
This website is meant for adults arranging ceremonies. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
