Serving Greater Houston
Serving Greater Houston's Hindu families
Greater Houston is home to one of the largest Indian communities in the country, spread across Katy, Sugar Land, Cypress, Pearland and beyond. Pandit Sri Arun Viswanath Gurukkal regularly travels to the Houston area to perform homams, Kalyanams, housewarmings, weddings and samskaras for families who want the ceremony done properly, in the traditional way.
New neighbourhoods keep growing in Katy, Cypress and Richmond, and with every new home comes a Gruhapravesam. Gurukkal helps families pick the muhurtham, shares a samagri list in advance and arrives prepared, so the day is calm and meaningful.
Trained in Shaiva Agama at Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, Tirupati, and titled Shiva Agama Rathnam, he chants every mantra in Sanskrit and explains each step in Tamil, Telugu or English so that grandparents, parents and children can all take part.
