- Turmeric powder
- Kumkum
- Sandalwood paste or powder
- Flowers and garlands
- Fruits (5 kinds, e.g. bananas, apples, oranges)
- Betel leaves (about 25) and betel nuts
- Coconuts (2–3)
- Camphor
- Agarbatti (incense sticks)
- Ghee lamp (deepam) with wicks and oil/ghee
- Uncooked rice (2 lb) for akshata
- Small towels / cloth for the deity
- Plates, bowls, spoons and a small kalasam (pot)
- Prasadam (any sweet)
- Yagnopaveetam (sacred thread)
- Deer skin piece / krishnajinam (Gurukkal can arrange)
- Palasa danda (stick)
- New dhoti and angavastram
- Ghee for homam
